Redesign of Klone.dk - "Klones Oplevelseskort"

The company, Klone, want to be a trigger for Danish families to go out and do family activities in forests and in nature.

With help from the front figure, Troldenissen Klone, and his seven friends, Danish families with kids might gain interest and inspiration for play, learning and outdoor activities. The seven friends all have different intelligences, because of the constant focus on diversity now a day. The point is to use each other’s strengths rather than make fun of each other’s weaknesses. Thus the Klone community and concept is all about the well-being among children and to have respect for one another.

Web design - Redesign of Klone.dk (Not in business)

My team and I worked on this project at our internship at Klone. It just never seems to go live - which I personally think is a shame, because of all the lost hours of work and a quite bulletproof concept.

The front-page is simple and easy to navigate. The design will get children’s attention and they can easily go explore the rest of the website on their own. It's a secure website for the kids to navigate.

Our new concept - "Klones Oplevelseskort" (Kind of not in business)

It is a map that shows outdoor playgrounds and nature experiences in Denmark. You simply click around the map to find outdoor experiences close to where you live.

"Klones Oplevelseskort" - start

Mouse-over the map and click to choose different parts of Denmark

The green dots/trees show where the outdoor experience are located. Troldenissen Klone's favorite places are marked with a star. Click on the icons to learn more about the particulate location

Example: One of Troldenissen Klone's favorite places. Short description with images of the place and icon that indicate facilities

The design is meant to capture the parents as well as the children’s interest. We have used pictures and icons to keep it simple and more delicate to look at.

Well, I hope that you find the project as interesting as I did/still do. Ain't it grand ?

Viva la technology!
